This project delivered successfully and is still used at HSBC. * Creation of project documentation such as business mandate, terms of reference, stakeholder engagement plan and communication plan. Including the target cost savings to be made and business benefits. * Enforced formal project documentation and governance whilst working with a third party IT vender. * Scoped project and resource planning. * Identified team strengths and weakness to ensure individual team members were accountable and responsibilities for meeting milestones and deadlines. * Liaise with the business to produce specification documents for individual reporting processes such as FVA, IPV and Day 1. * Held workshops across different risk functions to gather problem statements and define scope. * Managed system testing with internal IT teams and third vender resources. * Testing duties included completing SIT testing, reviewing IT regression-testing results, production of UAT test scripts and coordination and management of UAT globally. * Delivered end user training. This was Product Control's largest process in terms of data volume and number of active users. * Reviewed and documented P&L attribution in current system and future reporting requirements. * Defined summary and detail reporting for controllers and management. * Mapped system data feeds from front office system and controls from the old system into the new system.
Yoda was an RBS project to deliver a platform for Product Control to have a single central system for all reporting, flash and daily P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, monthly and quarterly regulatory reports. * Defined and socialised the target operational model across London and APAC PC sites. * Work across asset classes to define P&L reports. * Identify and map P&L attribution across front office feeder systems such as Murex and Sophis and define P&L attribution summary reporting roll-ups. * Visited users in APAC to obtain formal sign off of Target Operating Model and implementation plan. * Ran global workshops for stakeholder's management to ensure successful project adoption across all regions. KSA EQUITY SWAPS PROJECT Deutsche Bank was the first foreign institution to be given partial access to the KSA equities market allowing trading on behalf of their customers without holding the position. * Liaised with regional CFO to define system requirements and define controls to satisfy strict and fluid regulator requirements. * Liaised with a third party IT vender to implement the system as per the requirements and delivery schedule. * Produce project status reports for EMEA and London stakeholders and attend project management meetings in Dubai and London. SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST/PROJECT MANAGER: KSA BUSINESS STRUCTURE CHANGE After a substantial change to the structure of Deutsche Bank's Riyadh entity, the regulator requested review of the local business hierarchy, which was not adequate for reporting purposes. * Completed GAP analysis of existing local system hierarchies against target business structure. * Modified system hierarchy with the new reporting hierarchy. * Ensured all departments briefed for the newly created entities and downstream consumers. * Managed stakeholder status updates and plans PRODUCT CONTROLLER DB KSA PRIVATE WEALTH MANAGEMENT Part of Deutsche Bank's product control reporting in KSA was managed using an excel spreadsheet. Although trades were few in number they had a large number of components and involved large positions. * Collaborated with business managers to capture all aspects of customer positions. * Designed a new single source spreadsheet to easily view all aspects of the trades and P&L. * Reported P&L to EMEA and London product control. * Completed all reconciliations within the expected deadlines. * Once the spreadsheet was signoff as fit for purpose it was shared and used for P&L reporting for Wealth Reporting and handed to offshore Product Controllers to maintain.
Creation of a new Equity trading system including full migration of the Equity Derivatives trade population from Paris front office systems to London. * GAP analysis in London and Paris between existing system and available data feeds in London. * Defined FSA reporting requirements including highlighting data quality issues in existing systems and feeds. * Sourced data from other systems in London to enrich data for downstream reporting. * Coordinated the implementation in London with a big bang approach on go live.
